[There's the small clearing of a throat, before Jade launches straight into business talk. He's looking for answers to a few of the odd little mysteries of this world...]

Pardon me, I don't wish to be a bother but I've discovered a bit of a discrepancy between this world and the home world I've come from.

I apologize if this does sound a bit silly, but what is the purpose of that three hundred and sixty-sixth day every four years? I'm a tad surprised that this world has such a short year cycle, but I've failed to reach a conclusion on why there is that last day. That and... Months. Is there any reason why they've been broken into days as they have?

[Why aren't your calendars standard and orderly, Pokéworld?]

Time seems to pass the same way. I guess my world just circulates differently to this one.

I'm sure you've noticed the difference with the amount of days in a year in this world. How are you accounting for it?

If the names are coming from similar routes, I wouldn't be surprised if the variation wasn't nearly as extreme in regards to the world where the names originate from.

Hmm. I would need to know more about the history of this world before I could say anything either way on that. Most of the days of the week are named after gods from the Norse pantheon, whereas the legends here seem to focus on Pokemon.

And I'm guessing the pokémon are nearly native just to this world, is that correct?

I've certainly never seen them before. Granted, a great deal of them are similar to plants and animals that exist in my world.

Plants and animals from your world? Would you care to elaborate?

Well, yes. Usually, Pokemon are larger than their counterparts from my world and have some sort of elemental affinity, but there does seem to be a consistent pattern. For example, Hoothoot and Noctowl are owls, Mareep and Flaafy are sheep, and so on.

Of course, occasionally I have absolutely no idea if a Pokemon has a counterpart in my world or not, but for the most part they do.

Which ones have you encountered without counterparts?

[voice] i always remember major ocelot but i never remember peony...

Well, I really can't tell what Ditto and Ampharos are supposed to be. Some sort of animate blob of genetic material and a... goat?
