Pardon me, I don't wish to be a bother but I've discovered a bit of a discrepancy between this world and the home world I've come from.

I apologize if this does sound a bit silly, but what is the purpose of that three hundred and sixty-sixth day every four years? I'm a tad surprised that this world has such a short year cycle, but I've failed to reach a conclusion on why there is that last day. That and... Months. Is there any reason why they've been broken into days as they have?

Time seems to pass the same way. I guess my world just circulates differently to this one.

I'm sure you've noticed the difference with the amount of days in a year in this world. How are you accounting for it?

We had seven hundred and sixty-five days on my world, broken across thirteen months. The first twelve had fifty-eight days, the last had sixty.

Simpler than this world's system, honestly.

It sounds like your year's just a little more than twice everyone else's. And how's it simpler?

We don't have to worry about which months are thirty or thirty-one days, and most of the names relate to one another. Our months and days relate to the aggregate sentiences who first powered the energy of our world.

[voice]

[He laughs.] Sorry, I must be getting ahead of myself. See, I truly hate explaining things, so I apologize if they're a bit... [Nerdy? Over-the-top?] Wordy.

Let me try to simplify it.

As opposed to a system of thirty-one, twenty-eight, or thirty days for months, the first twelve months all have the same amount. Then, our world, Auldrant, was originally powered by seven aggregate sentiences, spiritual beings who created the natural energy that powers our earth. The ones we named both months and days after.

Our first day of the week is Remday. Our first month is Rem Decan. Not all of them match up as evenly, but it's a comparable difference from Sunday and January.

Does that make a bit more sense?

It's how our years are cycled. Why is this world lacking a month?

Because it doesn't need one?
