[This is Jade. Jade is, surprisingly enough, in a hospital gown, looking uncharacteristically displeased with his current predicament. However, he is here to report on his findings, and report he shall.]

So a recent experiment has led me to the conclusion that one, indeed, does not perish upon mortal injury on this planet. Much like the creatures themselves, the humans and other inhabitants have inherited this similar ability... However, I've been assured that breaking of bones and other injuries do not have those same qualities to be healed with a potion or healing arte, much to anyone's dismay...

[So he didn't break his arm, at least. But that leads him into a small sigh, straightening a little in the bed. Honestly, he's sure he's fine now but he's too comfortable to get up.]

With that out of the way, I've noticed that a certain red-headed troublemaker by the name of Luke fon Fabre does not seem to be with us anymore. It's for the better, honestly, seeing as he was a little... unique. ['Special snowflake', is more like it, but Jade's being as close to nice as he can get for someone who just died. He shrugs his shoulders lightly, a small smile on his face. Secretly, he is glad Luke has returned home, but it is very secret.]

Unfortunately, not much else to report. I think I shall conclude here.

...That information has long been proven; the last cases of almost-deaths are somewhat dated, but certain people still remember them.

I had a feeling it already had been, but the description surrounding it sounded far too much like a rumor for it to hold any concrete value.

There was that girl who was crushed by an Onix and at least one poisoning. Those were certainly not rumors. ...And I do believe there might have been an assassination, once, but that was long ago. Surely asking about them would have been simpler.

Simpler, perhaps, but far less direct. [He really doesn't see how this is a problem!]

So... these pokémon are just as dangerous as they seem, even outside of battles. Crushed by an Onix... how unfortunate.

Directness would have been of very little use to you had our immortality somehow managed to stop working.

She seemed not to mind her temporary fate very much. Then again, that could have been due to her discovery of its ephemeral nature in the first place.

...I remember little of it. She'd been crushed by an Onix while crossing a cave, and woke up at the Pokémon Center, safe and sound. That was the gist of it, at least. I would have forgotten it long ago, had she not seemed so cheerful.

Cheerful... That is definitely not the emotion I would have expected from a crushed individual. It is relieving to hear that no one had to deal with any particular trauma due to it.

Quite a few people are naturally upbeat. Even death might not be able to take that from them.

Intriguing. Though I can't say it isn't to be expected.

Though I've always wondered what happened to the Onix. Was it aware that under other circumstances, it would have taken a life? Or did it simply not care?

Hmm... Well, judging by the fact that many wild pokémon tend to attack people and human alike, they may have just mistaken her or another pokémon. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't have any sort of moralistic repercussions.

...Perhaps, though I doubt trained Pokémon would have it so easy. Then again, Onix is such a large Pokémon that it may simply have never seen her.

That is also a possibility, albeit rather odd. It may have merely been an accident.

Accidentally crushed by a giant snake made of rocks. The situation could hardly have been worse.

Well, she could have survived through all of the physical trauma of being crushed alive.

...And then she'd have to heal those injuries the long way, without even magic and potions. Oh dear.
