Johto, was it? That's the name of this region, according to the map. I had a few inquiries, if you would be so kind as to humor me with a few answers. Judging by the land and the creatures encountered thus far, I'm fairly certain this is not on a land mass known as 'Auldrant', is it? On the off chance that it is, can anyone direct me towards Malkuth, more notably Grand Chokmah or Keterburg? If not, could anyone, if possible at all, explain how I may have come in contact with a hyperresonance that could have summoned me here?

[But then he pauses. Too many discrepancies concern him into thinking that perhaps the people of this land may not understand what he's speaking of. So he decides to dumb it down a bit and focus on one of the few necessities.]

If all of that strikes you as gibberish, then could anyone please tell me where I may find lodgings for the night?

["Oh dear"? That sends Dist into something of a panic. If he really did survive that blast, did something happen to him? But the fact that he was unharmed when he arrived in Johto still remains...just what is going on here?

He pleadingly stares at Jade. Jade always has an explanation!]

"Oh dear" what? What has happened to me?!

[He can already hear the slight panic in his old friend's voice, and by that look in his eyes, he knows this will be a lot stranger than he first thought. It also means he'll have to find some way to explain it. Ugh.]

You may be experiencing a brain injury, seeing as you've underestimated your own stubborn ability to survive.

[Dist gives this some thought. While being told he may have brain damage is definitely not something he wants to be told, it could explain many things about his arrival.]

["In your care" is probably not the best wording here, but whatever.]

That could explain why I awoke in Johto without so much as a scratch on me.

[But Jade totally cares. Kind of.

Well, I guess the only beneficial news to you at this time is that you're alive and well, albeit somewhat brain-scrambled. You should see if you could visit a doctor nearby, on the off chance that there's more mental damage.

[And then something hits him. He gives Jade a very incredulous look.]

Jade, are you actually concerned about me?

[It's either that or Jade is seriously pulling his leg on this whole amnesia thing...but of course Dist would rather believe that Jade is telling the truth first.]

I'm merely concerned that you'll soon be problematic with your memory loss. If you don't remember the last time we interacted, you may return to your foolish behavior and I'll be forced to deal with it.

[And he really doesn't want to deal with something stupid. But that's just the secondary concern.]

I just find it so strange... I have survived many dangerous encounters, yet never have I experienced memory loss.

[He shakes his head. It's actually pretty aggravating, Jade knowing parts of his future that he has somehow completely forgotten.]

I don't understand why it would spark up like that.

Perhaps it's in combination with the travel to this world. Either that or your head trauma is finally catching up to you.

[Or something else entirely, but even he's not sure what to think. The fact that Dist has never forgotten anything else makes him wonder if there's something else at work here...

This place? As in, the place you are in right now?

As in this world. I doubt we're in the same city--I would have seen you, judging by the looks of it.

[Because it's tiny and it sucks and he is leaving.]

I arrived several weeks ago. And you are correct, I am in Goldenrod City. It is one of the central locations in Johto. There is much to do and see here.

[Ahaha, oh Dist. Please at least pretend to be knowledgeable of this world. You've got an advantage over Jade (for now).]

Goldenrod City... How long did the travel take from this point to there?

But he actually does have some knowledge of travel distances despite not actually traveling yet. It's good information to have since he was told he's going to have to travel eventually.

Browsing the post again, it seems that Jade is in New Bark Town. That's enough to go off of.]

About two weeks. I traveled directly to Goldenrod City from Violet City instead of going all the way around through Azalea Town.
